•    Completed studies in the field of automotive engineering/mechanical engineering or a comparable qualification
•    Specialised knowledge of vehicle safety, restraint systems and biomechanics
•    Ideally sound knowledge of structural and material mechanics, multi-body dynamics and finite element methods
•    At least 3 years of professional experience in a similar position
•    German language skills of at least B1 and English language skills of at least B2
•    Experience in the field of explicit FEM simulation and sound knowledge of FEM calculation
•    Confident handling of the systems/tools: ANSA, PamCrash, Linux
•    Programming skills for the automation of processes (e.g. Python)
•    Category B driving licences

•    Responsibility for carrying out vehicle safety crash calculations (in particular front and rear-end crashes)
•    Setting up FEM models, carrying out calculations and deriving measures
•    Coordinating with other relevant departments
•    Setting up and carrying outside crash occupant simulations
•    Controlling development service providers
•    Developing measures with the design departments
•    Representing the interests of crash calculation and vehicle safety at VWN in departmental/brand-internal and Group-wide committees and coordination rounds with external partners
