Procurement
There is no other area in our company which is more important. But there are also areas without which Production Division would not be able to handle all its commitment which must be managed every day. One of such areas is Logistics and Procurement Department
Procurement Department deals exclusively with assisting our factory with the construction of cars through purchasing any means that are not integral part of the products. Therefore, the range of purchases includes tenders for construction investments, machines and equipment for the needs of Welding Shop, Paint Shop and Assembly Division. Our responsibility is also the Casting Plant.
Sales specialists, when engaged in their proper branches, also take care of production areas. Through accumulation of orders coming from each area, directly or indirectly engaged in production, we try to achieve the best economical effects. The endeavours of each employee of the Procurement Department allow us to count on the final effect to be more attractive for the Customers. It is interesting that we cooperate with more than 1,500 suppliers, and that we create more than 11,000 orders per year. Strategic investment purchases are each time presented, consulted and approved by the concern executive and advisory committees. In order to develop our range of enquiries we develop our contacts with Purchasing Departments of Audi and Skoda. We also take care of the development of work tools and through the introduction of the available technical possibilities we want to facilitate the work of all participants of the commercial process.
Dispatching
Dispatching is us – young, committed employees. Although we work in Logistics Department, we are tightly connected wit the Production. W mainly care for ensuring that our colleagues from Welding Shop, Paint Shop or Assembly Line are not short of any one of the 7500 parts for the construction of a car, which are under our custody.
This sounds modestly, doesn't it? - nothing could be more incorrect! We are a department of unexpected turns of events and prompt decisions. How can one foresee a strike in Italy, hailstorm in Romania or a traffic jam on a highway near Dortmund.
In order that such situations do not have negative effects on our work, we are in constant contact with 800 suppliers, 40 forwarding agencies and the whole machinery of Volkswagen all over the world - in the morning, in the afternoon and sometimes even in the night. An airplane from Mexico, or a quick parcel from Sulechów, is not a problem for us. W communicate mainly in German and English, but if it is necessary to speak Finnish or Hungarian, we can manage it. Sometimes we have an impression that impossible becomes possible – after all we have one target: supply our production!
