VWP employees are the most valuable asset of our company … and therefore we take effort that both them and their families can spend their free time in an interesting way. Joint car rallies during which the employees and their families get an opportunity to test the cars produced at the factory - Caddy, Christmas party for children, Afterwork party, football competition – all are evidence that our employees like to spend their free time together and VWP has been trying to provide opportunities. The events make the employees identify with the company and its products.

Development

The project “Development in VWP” is continued and modified along the way so that every employee could find his/her place and further development path at Volkswagen Poznań. Our employees from specific positions are offered an opportunity to use custom-made development instruments called off the job (e.g. professional training, language courses and extra-professional or “soft”, workshops, conferences, subsidised studies) as well as on the job (e.g. new tasks challenging the employees, a mentoring program, individual consulting, short workshop forms, job rotation inside department and among departments and companies in the VW group, development and potential diagnostic centres, development questionnaires, knowledge base, etc.). Additionally, in collaboration with the Poznań University of Technology our employee may use the offer of free post-graduate studies and second-degree studies, thus graduating from the prestigious technical university. Employees who need to know a foreign language to perform their duties, are offered German and English language courses. Additionally, intensive courses are organised to develop specific language skills over a short time in a condensed form of studying. It is important that it is the employee who influences his/her own development path which is manifested in an annual assessment interview during which the development jointly with the superior of a development plan is a major item on the agenda.

Remote work opportunity

Remote Work is an additional facility for persons whose position and duties could enable to perform work outside of the company. Remote Work consists in regular performance of work outside the premises of VWP with the use of company IT equipment and delivery of the results of the work to the superior. Such person may work at home, combining professional and family duties in an easy way.

We take care of employees' health

Good health is a value that benefits all. The employees are offered medical care in Clinics existing in all plants in Poznań and Swarzędz. Apart from standard check-ups required by work medicine, consultancy with specialist doctors is also available: internist, neurologist, laryngologist, oculist, pulmonologist and orthopaedist. Every year during summer hot months, the company provides the employees with electrolytic drinks while in the autumn and winter the interested employees may be vaccinated against the flue.

Medical check-up

Putting stress on the health of its employees, Volkswagen Poznań has introduced a medical CheckUp program – a voluntary, comprehensive health check-up to monitor health condition and prevent sicknesses. The CheckUp program covers a broad range of diagnostic examinations ended with doctor’s diagnosis and issue of specific recommendations. It is an initiative that helps find out about health condition and improve its quality – in accordance with the slogan “my health is in my hands”.

Moving is healthy

With a view to keeping its employees’ health in good condition, Volkswagen Poznań has set up a Rehabilitation & Sports Centre that can be used by every staff member. The facility was set up for those employees who want to improve their figure but primarily for those who want to improve their health condition and get rid of the stress accumulated throughout the day. The available equipment includes force and aerobic training facilities so that everybody can find something suitable. Rehabilitation consulting is also available at the Centre. Three times a week, at the time available for each working shift, professional advice is available concerning improvement of health condition and planning an individual workout programme.

VWP takes care to inform its employees.

Taking care to ensure good information flow, every week the employees receive a Newsletter with details of current events and the condition of VWP and the entire VW group. The weekly Facts for the Masters discuss all detailed subjects on production and the monthly The Voice of VWP is an excellent source of exhaustive information for the staff. The company creates opportunities for meetings with the management. Twice a year a meeting is held with the CEO of the company. There is also a possibility of Dialogue with the Management during a joint dinner where a group of employees from a specific area get a chance of personal contact with the CEO of VWP. With the action “You don’t know – ask a question” the employees may ask any question of the management and replies are published on The Voice of VWP.

Satisfaction poll among VWP staff

The Satisfaction Barometer is used e.g. to investigate the image of the company, information flow among the staff, satisfaction poll among the employees in relation to the performed tasks and collaboration with superiors and fellow colleagues. The company boasts many modifications implemented on initiative if its employees.
