We Notice the Needs of the Neighbourhood
Volkswagen Poznań supports the residents and local communities of Poznań and Swarzędz in accomplishment of their undertakings.
Volkswagen Poznań is an active participant of the local community. The inhabitants of Poznań and Swarzędz know that they can depend on the financial or organizational help in accomplishment of their initiatives.
In 2008 Volkswagen Poznań supported financially and materially its neighbours with the total amount of almost a quarter million PLN. Our company takes special care of the youngest inhabitants of Greater Poland. Volkswagen Poznań fully sponsored the construction of playground in 28 Czerwca Street in Wilda district, where the Volkswagen Poznań Casting Plant is located, and also supported the modernisation of several other facilities. Representatives of the company efficiently cooperate with local parishes, which are very well acquainted with local problems and needs. Volkswagen Poznań notices the needs of disabled persons.
Thanks to financial involvement of our company, the Association for Assistance to Persons with Down Complex could purchase special rehabilitation chairs for children and organize an exhibition of artist works by their charges. 
Volkswagen Poznań regularly supports organizers of festivities in local communities, which are organised every year for the residents of districts located in the vicinity of our factories, i.e. in Antoninek, Zieliniec and Wilda districts. Thanks to such events the residents and the representatives of our company have an opportunity to cooperate with the neighbourhood even more closely.

Volkswagen Poznań understands that the development of competence of its present and future employees translates into building the competitive advantage. Cooperation with vocational schools and universities is therefore a mutually beneficial investment for both parties. Public responsibility of the company is not only the activities of philanthropic nature. A responsible company seeks such solutions owing to which it can multiply the gained value. Volkswagen Poznań is convinced that the investment in education is such a good solution.
On the initiative of our company and the local municipal authorities, in the Complex of Schools No. 1 in Swarzędz a class with extended vocational curriculum in mechatronics was started, the former pupils of which will find employment with Volkswagen Poznań. Our company intensively cooperates with colleges and universities. Students of economical and technical subjects may count on support during the time of their writing the dissertation. The students who start their professional career are offered a variety of apprenticeships and internships under the custody of our experienced employees.
Volkswagen Poznań also offers financial and material support for the selected projects and scientific initiatives. Our company also supports multiple scientific conferences, and pupils of more than 60 primary schools have been equipped with computer hardware.
We are convinced that such cooperation is beneficial for all participants. The schools under our supervision acquire valuable knowledge and skills, Volkswagen gets a qualified employee, and the customers can order commercial vehicles of the highest quality.
Sport
Volkswagen Poznań Supports Polish Sport 
Our Poznań factory was the Official Supplier of Cars for the National Team of Poland during the Football World Championship in Germany and the European Championship Euro 2008. The Caddy, produced by Volkswagen Poznań, has been made available to the Polish Handball Federation.
Our company also knows how important is rowing for the residents of Poznań. Since 2006 Volkswagen Poznań is a partner of Fundacja Wielkopolskie Wioślarstwo (Foundation for Greater Poland Rowing).
As official partner, Volkswagen Poznań has continued its cooperation with Aeroklub Poznański (Flying Club of Poznań) for several years now.
