Volkswagen Commercial Vehicles
Volkswagen Commercial Vehicles (Volkswagen Nutzfahrzeuge) functions in the framework of the concern as a separate make since 1995. Volkswagen Poznań, joint venture, was established in 1993 as the 35th production plant of the concern. Since 1997 the factory 100% daughter company of Volkswagen Commercial Vehicles with the registered office in Hannover.
In the past, at the Poznań factory, 12 models of cars, such as Volkswagen, Audi, Skoda, Seat, were assembled. Year 2003 was decisive for the development of the factory, when two models of cars, i.e. VW Transporter and VW Caddy were implemented into series production. In autumn of 2007, series production of VW Caddy Maxi was started. Volkswagen Poznań is the only factory in the world, where VW Caddy, VW Caddy Maxi and VW Transporter pick-up are manufactured.
