Prizes and Awards
Fifteen years of activity of Volkswagen Poznań in Poland means several dozen prizes and awards granted to our company by the most important editorial offices, business organisations, and central and local authorities.
In the 90s Volkswagen Poznań underwent an intensive restructuring - the factory infrastructure was under development, modern manufacturing technologies were implemented. The development of our company was reflected in the first awards. Głos Wielkopolski newspaper and Home&Market magazine placed Volkswagen Poznań on the 4th position on the list of the best firms in Wielkopolska region – this leading position is maintained by our company until present. Volkswagen Poznań was also placed on the prestigious list of Golden Ten of the Decade (Złota Dziesiątka Dziesięciolecia) – the list of the best firms of Wielkopolskie Voivodship in 1995-2004 prepared by the economy board of Głos Wielkopolski newspaper and Centrum Ekspertyz Gospodarczych (Economic Expertise Centre) at the Poznań Economy University.
The new millennium meant dynamic changes for better to Volkswagen Poznań. In 2001 in our Poznań-Antoninek factory a paint shop was started – one of the most advanced shops of this type in the world. During the next year, the factory underwent further modernisation and was adapted for the production of the leading models of Volkswagen Poznań, i.e. Caddy and Transporter. 
These investments, the greatest ones at that time in Poland, allowed for even more dynamic development of our company. The evidence of this development are further laurels and awards – Volkswagen Poznań becomes the leader of the ranking Złota Setka Wielkopolski (Golden hundred of Wielkopolska) according to incomes (2001, 2003, 2005) and in the category of Złoty Eksporter (Golden Exporter) (2004); our company was placed in the first five of the ranking Perły Polskiej Gospodarki (Pearls of Polish Economy) organized by Polish Market magazine. Our company was also placed high on the list of the largest Polish firms made up by Puls Biznesu magazine, and in 2006 Volkswagen Poznań was granted, by the journalists of this magazine, the title of one of the pillars of the Polish economy. In 2007 we were granted the title of Outstanding Polish Exporter in the competition organized by Rynki Zagraniczne magazine under the patronage of the Prime Minister of the Republic of Poland, Mr Jarosław Kaczyński. Volkswagen Poznań was again rewarded in the ranking Lista 500 by the weekly Polityka; our company was placed 17th among 500 largest Polish enterprises in 2008, in the category of 50 most profitable enterprises we were placed 18th, and among the 100 largest exporters VWP was placed 4th. In the same year Volkswagen Poznań was recognized by Newsweek Polska and AT Kearney consulting company as the most valuable firm in the automotive sector in Poland.
Our partners award not only the quality of products and financial results of our company but also working conditions at Volkswagen Poznań. Every year, Bank Danych o Inżynierach (Data Bank on Engineers) puts our company in the group of the most attractive employers. The activities performed by Volkswagen Poznań out of concern for the safety of work conditions were appreciated by the District Inspectorate of Work (Okręgowy Inspektor Pracy) awarding to our company the title of "Employer - organizer of safe work" (Pracodawca – organizator pracy bezpiecznej) in 2006. Opportunities for the development of professional career with Volkswagen Poznań are appreciated by students – the international student organization AIESEC rewarded our company, twice in a row, with the title of Employer of the Year (2004,2005).
Volkswagen Poznań commits itself to cooperation with charity and non-governmental organizations – our company is proud of the title of "Friend of the Polish Red Cross" (Przyjaciela Polskiego Czerwonego Krzyża) which was granted to it in 2002.
The activeness of Volkswagen Poznań as a dynamically developing enterprise and the largest private employer in Wielkopolska region is appreciated by the representatives of the central and local authorities. On the occasion of the 10th anniversary of our factory, we received congratulations and a token of recognition from the President of the Republic of Poland, Mr Aleksander Kwaśniewski, and from the Management of the Wielkopolska Voivodship. In 2008, Marshall of the Wielkopolskie Voivodship (Marszałek Województwa Wielkopolskiego) granted the “Badge of Honour” (Odznaka Honorowa) to the concern for its merits for our region.
